| I don't know what zone you are in, but in my zone 6 I can divide as late as November & they will live. Unlikely to bloom the following year though. Not what I would recommend waiting that late, we've had a hard frost by that time so I'm surprised they make it, but the majority do. |

| Oh no!! I hope it is not too late. I am just back from vacation and was planning to divide mine (for the first time - I'm a new gardener) sometime in the next 2 weeks. Am I really too late? I could wait until next year probably but really planned on dividing them this year. |

| You've got loads of time. The nurseries either just finished digging & shipping theirs or are still are doing it. In VA you have months before you get hard frost. Go ahead & divide them! Give them a nice dose of bone meal scratched into the soil you set them in. |
