Went to the iris sale today!

I had a list of what I wanted, but they didn't dig all of them this year out of their garden. I got 4 that I was going for: Rhinelander, Fashion Queen, All Revved Up, & Elainelope. I had planned for another 9. Oh well. I did find a few more though :) So in all I got:

Rhinelander

Team Spirit

Mastery

Bye Bye Love

Fashion Queen

Elainelope

Mickey Austell

Tennessee Gentleman

All Revved up

& got 4 freebies of Lena Baker, Coastal Mist,a lavender NOID, & Song of Norway-I already have Song of Norway, but only 1 plant which needs company :)

I ordered Rhinelander this year too. This looks like quite a haul- I'm going to have fun googling all of these irises.

I enjoyed checking your list on google. Bet you can't wait till Spring. Our local Iris Society sale is Saturday and I plan to be there at 8am when it starts.

Mickey Austell is new to me - lovely! And Rhinelander --- pictures when it blooms please.

I saw Rhinelander in the iris garden in bloom, it is really lovely. I'm so glad they had that one. I hadn't planned on getting Mickey Austell. Just looked it up again, I didn't realize it had horns. I do like the color in the pictures. Iris sales are the best, you know they will grow well in your area & cheap. These were $3, & some were $4. They said because they were newer varieties, but one of the $4 was from 2000, while one I got for $3 was 2007. I suspect it had more to do with how many they actually had available. Counting the named bonus plants they were less than $3 ea, quite a bargain.
