My Louisiana Iris are lying flat. What do I do?

My Louisiana Iris are all lying flat and look ugly. Do I cut them back? If so how short and how do I keep this from happening again. I planted them to use as a back drop but they look awful. Thanks.

Are these newly planted? How long have they been in the ground? It is not common for them, in my opinion, to fall over or lay flat once they are established.

I'm guessing you might have planted them this year and that they are not rooted in well and established yet. Are ey getting enough moisture?

Your Member Page (and your post) does not indicate where you are located. You can edit your info via the Member Page link at the bottom of any page, and include your location in the one box provided for the garden zone. See I am zone 5/6 S IN. It helps when answering or asking questions to know a member's location in addition to their zone.
