| I picked this one up (sight unseen) at a sale recently. It is a hook or spoon type I think (was labeled). Does that mean it is a spaceager?
Someone provided a link a while back about space age irises, but I have lost it. Might anyone know of a good site with good explanation? tia Sue |

| Thanks Gran, When I searched initially, I think I only found a description...no pic. Anyway.... I see it on this page. It mentions having a 3/8" horn...but nothing about spaceage. Sue |

| Found the answer. (taken from the link below) The Space Age Irises have horn's that extend from the end of the beard. The horn is a spear like appendage that emerges from the fall at the end of the beard. The tip of the horn is sometimes flat which is referred to as a spoon or may be split and laced making a flounce which looks like little petals. I see there are numerous breeders, just like any other iris. Sue |
