You need to let them dry and start to crack open before the seeds are viable.

morz8 - THANK YOU!!! I am so glad to see your post about these being invasive in CT. I was "gifted" with seeds in a trade and before winter sowing them, checked to see if they were invasive here. They will go into the DO NOT PLANT bin until I can dispose of them properly.
