Call me crazy but that's not an Iris. You should post it in the plant ID forum on here, and see what someone calls it. I have NEVER seen an Iris like that. But I know I've seen that flower before, but can't think of it's name. I googled Iris brevicaulis, and it's not that.

Thanks...I too thought I had seen that bloom on line b4. I think it is a Blackberry Lily Belamcanda chinensis Now I am disappointed.

It is a blackberry lily, which are fine plants IMHO.

Does the foliage always lay over like it has to me, or is it maybe the conditions here which is less than full sun, and little moisture?

Would anyone like these for postage (in advance). There are 6 fans/plants/roots..whatever and they could go First Class (I'm told that goes as fast as Priority), and would be boxed, and less than $3.17 to send.

I believe it has had a name change to "Iris chinensis" fairly recently.

The foliage is upright for me or gently arching. There are some hybrids of these called 'Candy Lilies.' They come in a wider variety of colors. Unfortunately, they have not taken well to my hot and humid summers and have all perished.
