Can anyone name this Iris

This is an iris I dug up from my mother-n-laws just before she moved. It spreads very quickly and blooms profusely.

It looks like a historic by its form. Have you looked at the HIPS photo pages?

It probably is historic. I have been married to my husband for 31 years and I think it was there when I married him. I will take a look. Thank you.
