I'm just starting out. Can you recommend reliable vendors?
Thanks!

Hi proudgm,

Carlos has a wonderful site with a list of vendors he has dealt with. It's called Brighton Park Irises.

I have ordered from Schreiner's and Wild Iris Rows and I have been very happy with the quality and service. I would love to try Blue J but they are always out of irises by the time I get my act together.

Some places that I have had good experiences with for buying irises are: Winterberry Gardens, 1225 Reynolds Rd., Cross Junction, VA 22625 (This is Don and Ginny Spoon's garden); also Mid-America Garden, P.O. Box 9008, Brooks, OR 97305-0008 (This is Paul Black & Thomas Johnson's garden, it used to be in Nebraska?, I think, hence the Mid-America name, which they decided to keep when they moved it to Oregon).... both of their catalogs cost $6.00, Mid-America has a website: www.mid-americagarden.com, but the Winterberry does not have a website. Another hybridizer who grows some really terrific irises is Keith Keppel, P.O. Box 18154, Salem, OR 97305 (no website, either); also, Aitken's Salmon Creek Garden, 608 NW 119 St., Vancouver, WA 98685 [website: www.flowerfantasy.net ]; and, lastly, Chapman Iris, RR #1, 8790 Wellington Rd 124, Guelph, ON. N1H 6H7 Canada [ website: www.chapmaniris.com ]

I have dealt with all these people and they are all good. It's probably a good idea to order from somebody in your own area, but that's not always easy.....

Below is a link to a lot of the links mentioned above.

I have purchased from Snowpeak Iris and Daylilies and been quite pleased.
