Ready to Replant but Some SO Tiny!

| The borer killing is over and I've cut the bad parts off all the rhizomes and the useless dried roots. Some of them are SO tiny, though....these are the parts that either fell off or I had to cut off and some only an inch but all have at least one or two tiny green pointed buds. Will these be worth replanting? Or will I have to wait five years for a bloom. I know many are too small to bloom next Spring. I guess the questions are: Are bigger rhizomes healthier, bloom faster (the first year), need any special treatment?

| Some of those small pieces may bloom in 3 years. Many factors including vigor of cultivar, soil condition and climate. Special treatment for bigger rhizomes? I dont think you can do anything other than provide optimum conditions --- full sun, well-drained soil, proper nutrients. |
