Old reliable wasn't this year

My rebloomer Immortality didn't this year. I was disappointed. I think the lousy weather we had in Northeast Pennsylvania might have had a role in this. Did anyone else have rebloom failure on a normally reliable Iris?

Immortality and Brother Carl both are blooming away in NE Mississippi. Baby Blessed, Eleanor Roosevelt and Tea Leaves are also in bloom.

Rebloom and reliable don't tend to meet in my garden with too much frequency.

The only variety I grow that I'm actually starting to think I can expect to see again in the Fall is 'Champagne Encore'. It rebloomed this year and last, which is the only variety I've ever had actually perform a legitimate rebloom (out of 800 (200 new this year and I have had "first Fall" bloom in the past)). It's a very simple, tailored IB, but I'm starting to like seeing it twice a year.

It sent up a stalk late this year and I had to take it indoors (took it back out for the light and BG in this blah photo). We just had a freeze a few nights ago that all but flattened the vegetable garden. The neighbor out at the farm had IMM in bloom along with a purple plicata, wonder how hers faired...

Many of my rebloomers haven't rebloomed & I have several. Earl of Essex has always been very dependable for me, but only a couple bloomed. Harvest of Memories has done well, but not every plant bloomed. Immortality has never been a good bloomer for me, I'm lucky if it blooms in the spring.

You aren't alone, Mombo. With all the rain we had in Western PA this summer - very unusual, I'd have thought that I'd have 100% rebloom on my rebloomers, but I had more rebloom the last two years. Here's what IS reblooming:
Lo Ho Silver
Sugar Blues
Rosalie Figge
NOID Blue-purple Standard Dwarf

Here's who is MIA this fall:
Plum Wine
Immortality
Clarence
Baby Blessed
Baby Boom
Fast Forward
Peachy NOID that may be Jean Guymer
Victoria Falls
