Is this Iris planted correctly?

| This is an Iris pallida. Am I supposed to bury the crown (that bumpy thing where the leaves come out) or am I supposed to leave it exposed? Right now it is exposed. I just buried the roots and left the crown to sit on top of the soil. See the picture below.

That's just right.
Make sure no compost covers the rhizome or it will rot. |
