great deal on irises

There is a seller on ebay that has 20 named hybrid in two auctions ending tomorrow. One auction is for 50, the other is for 90. Today one of the auctions for 11 ended at fifteen cents. That was a great deal and I missed it. I have no need for the larger auctions but thought I would pass it on. If it ends like the one today, someone will get lucky!

If it sounds too good to be true, chances are it isn't.

I would not count on any of them being named correctly, and by the time they bloom, one can't leave negative feedback. They may even all be the same color...likely a lavender color.

Last year (and maybe this year too) there was a ebayer buying up big lots of NO ID irises, and then they were selling all sort of named irises, complete with pictures pilfered from on line vendors. In some cases they used pilfered pics and gave the iris a 'new' name that wasn't even registered. The seller even changed their ebay name, to try and get away from their reputation.

If one is wanting named cultivars, it is best to buy from a reputable source. jmho.

This seller is selling for a nursery in Wisconsin. I bought some irises from them earlier and they were large healthy irises with the plastic name tags attached to the bulbs. They came directly from the nursery. The seller is closing out the lot and that is why they have the large groups. You can do an advance search to see the irises they have sold this year. They are also selling other plants such as roses, peonies, etc. It is for real.

I forgot to mention the box I bought had a state of WI inspection sticker on it. A seller buying up irises to resell as popular hybrids would not have a state license. Decide for yourself, but I wouldn't of post this without facts.
