Lucky you!

A friend had her cymbidium outside; beside the wall that housed the indoor heater. She had bloom a month earlier that anyone else. That extra heat works!

Thanks Iris_gal! Quite fussy weather here in Ohio but seasonably chilly and these blooms are more than welcome! I've seen some yellows in fall but not so late, nearly November and these are about to peak on rebloom, I'll take some pics this weekend no matter how wet or gloomy the weather. Granted I won't expect a repeat performance, when I thought the season was over and done with...well, WOW! Too cool!

Rebloom believable, seeing it this late kills the crappy mums I bought for color! I'll take it for what it's worth and love it to death. I have NOIDs I prefer but this is kinda special. In my field or work the iris is the first good bloom that says "go time" and one of the things that drags me from winter's grip, nice to have a beautiful send-out for the season. Pics to come if we don't get frosted (odds are good). Not my favorite iris, but this year? Yeah, yes indeed. Great way to end a season, I can't imagine a finer finale to this year's efforts. Just perfect!

I've never had my Best Bet rebloom here in Denver (also zone 5) but now maybe I'll move it to a warm spot. But last year, I had a NOID rebloom at Halloween, and I don't think it was in a particularly warm area. Just in the middle of the yard.
