posting photos with question/message

Ok, how does one do this? There is not an obvious description on how to post a picture with my question. I have 10 to 15 NoID's that I would like help from this forum to possible ID or narrow the field; but I need to add the pics to the post. Thanks for the help.

RE: posting photos with question/message

Below is a link where I posted some time ago about posting pics within the message box. What I left out in the beginning was that one needed to open a Photobucket account (free) and upload their pics to Photobucket. (I only know how to do it using Photobucket, though there are other free on line storage sites.)

I was also assuming that the member was familiar with having either multiple tabs, or multiple windows open at one time. If one is not familiar with that, it is near impossible to explain how to post pics.

Another option would be to upload your pics to an album at Photobucket (free) giving the pics numbers or descriptions for names, and then posting the URL of the album page into the Optional Link URL box found below the message box, and then give it a name in the Name of the Link box.

FYI...if you are starting a NEW thread you won't see the Optional Link URL box until you have hit Preview. You will then need to fill it in, along with the Name of the Link and hit Preview again, and lastly submit.

Feel free to either practice posting pics to the thread linked below, or start a new thread at The Test Forum GALLERY Side There have been major spam problems on the Discussion side, and there is only one page there, so posts get bumped off quickly there (like in less than a day).

RE: posting photos with question/message!

Ok, lets see how smart (or stupid) I am. I think the pic may be too big, but I will tackle that later. Let's post!

If successful, I will start a new post to help ID this blue Iris.

YAY!!!

You did good, but like you said, the pic is sort of big. To see the size of the picture file, right click on the pic and choose 'properties'. You will see it is 140.32 KB in size. It is best to try and keep them under 60 KB if possible.

In looking at your page, I see you aren't set up for it giving you the HTML Thumb(nail) code.

Also...you can just post the URL of the album page...like below.

Yes...You got it!

I don't know though why your pics are in the center.

If you want the thumbnail to just go to a bigger pic, like mine, without going to your album,

NO ID #7-Dk purple ruffled-rd bd

Just go to Account options and scroll down to Album Settings and uncheck the box that says Images link back to album

How is this then?

Alaskan Seas?

I got rid of the "center" at the beginning of this string.
