Too late to plant my iris?

I live in zone 7b...south of ATL and dug a large amount of bearded irises a few weeks ago. Is it too late to go ahead and plant or must I try to over winter the rhizomes and plant in the spring. I hope I don't lose them since they go back several generations. thanks for your suggestions.

You are close to where I am and I just planted some a few days ago. I think they will be ok if you plant them now.

Yes, get them in the ground as soon as possible. You might want to watch for winter heave, but as far as south as you are, they should be fine/
