can you ID this dark purple, short rebloomer?

OK - I recognize it might be impossible to ID a purple iris online, but I thought some of it's characteristics might help.
- rebloomer
- one of the very earliest to bloom of my tall bearded
- has relatively short strong stems

I may remember the name when prompted, I bought them and they were named at one time.I have many purple iris tags but can't match them anymore.

This particular iris seems to show up in all my favorite iris photos, and people are always asking what it is. Would be nice if I could answer, but know it might not be possible to narrow down.

That's a tough color to guess on, since there are so many rebloomers that shade. The beards may tip someone off, though. I have three that color but none have that beard.
This is a gorgeous photo!

Renee, thanks for introducing me to the AIS site. I saw one there that made me think this is Stingray.

Stingray anyone?

Thanks

Gottagarden, did you look at the AIS Iris Encyclopedia? Stingray has horns, and is pretty tall.

Did you post this photo on the AIS Facebook page? There's also a Reblooming Iris Society Facebook page, and someone there may have an idea.

I think it's Feedback. I grow it too, and it is short in my garden as well. I have four that are the same color, all rebloomers. I bought them at the same time to find the best one, and Feedback lost out to Amethyst Winter and Recurring Dream, and is in the Reject Bed now. It may restored to the main garden if Recurring Dream does not shape up.

Mine never looked quite as stunning as yours. Many photos show it looking washed-out and lavendar, but mine blooms the same color as yours- a shockingly bright medium blue-violet-purple.

Thanks Renee! Feedback seems like the best fit yet. Stingray was listed at 36", and there's no way mine is ever that tall. Did a google search on feedback and it fits all around.
It's not one of my favorites either, I think I have nicer purples. But it's spread throughout my garden and it's slightly earlier bloom time makes it pair well with other spring bloomers. And I just like to know the proper names for my pets/ flowers.
THANKS

Have you ruled out Breakers based on Height ?

I think Breakers is cooler blue, and the beard is not shockingly white and bright yellow like Feedback.
