My dad's girlfriend is giving me irises for Christmas! I have been putting together my list(s). So far, this is what I must have:
Dandy Candy
Coral Chalice
Plum Pretty Whiskers
Peach Royale
Ruth Black
Grand Circle
Daughter of Stars
Amethyst Winter
Rose Teall
I have fallen head over heels in love with Paul Black's iris Walking on Air and some similar irises, including Deep Dark Secret, Money In Your Pocket, and Solo Flight. None of these are rebloomers, and I swore a solemn oath only to buy rebloomers from now on (if an iris is listed anywhere as a rebloomer it counts, even if I suspect it won't rebloom). I may have to break my word. Does anyone have a preference for one of these beautiful violet/blue beauties over the others?
Just get Deep Dark Secret it is much more vivid in color than Walking On Air. The onlyother one I have is Plum Pretty Whiskers and it has not bloomed yet.
I've had Coral Chalice a number of years --- like its different color pattern and softness. Blends well in the pastel area with other colors. Not a large bloom.
Rose Teall is definitely on my want list from photos I've seen.

Deep Dark Secret would be stunning next to a flower echoing its beard color! Is one of your daylilies pumpkin?
Dandy Candy won a top Italian award and in one photo it was a stunner. Now I look more carefully at the hybridizer. If I've been disappointed by others by that person, I tend to pass until seeing in person.
