What do these 2 irises look like?

Posted by triffidpd (My Page) on

Hi all,

I received 2 named irises as bonuses and can't find photos anywhere in the net! They are Cranberry Tea and Bliss Bomb. Does anyone have photos or know what they look like?

Thanks for your help.

My-oh-my ~~ my post is rejected because it mentioned a site that is no longer mentionable here!
It's the most comprehensive photo accumulation of iris pics on the net.
Type IRIS BLISS BOMB in google and if you see a garden site that begins with Ledderman's first name you've found it. Both iris have more than one pic.

Thanks Irisgal. I tried that site before but explorer kept crashing on me! But it seems to be working now!

All the best for the Holidays.

Here is Bliss Bomb. What a beauty! I think I got it in a trade so will really be looking forward to enjoying it in bloom.

I'm not finding Cranberry Tea at all. I wonder if it is a registered iris. Might I ask who sent you the bonuses? Hopefully not a 'certain' Ebay seller.

Here's the info I copied from the other site
Cranberry Tea (G. Mapes) introduced by Maryott Gardens 1989

It looks like a browny-rose shade with the bright lavender fall splash blending outwards, nice rosy chestnut hafts???

Very pretty.

There is a pic and a good description in the book at the link below. What a beauty! It is on page 52, and may take some time to load that far. They are in alphabetical order, but there is a lot of good info and eye candy while scrolling down to it.

Sue

Here is a link that might be useful: Cranberry Tea on page 52.
