Where to buy lantern in Chicago area?

Posted by blackmons z5 IL (My Page) on

Does anyone know where I can purchase ornaments for a Japanese garden in the Chicago area? I'm interested in lanterns, specifically, at the moment. At a later time I may also want to add some sleeve fencing and a water bowl.
Thanks for any help you can give me,
Laurie

Hi Laurie, I am from Rockford and J. Carlson Growers has some really nice Japanese lanters and wonderful plants. Definately worth a look and you can visit Anderson's Garden while you are there. They also have very unusual lanterns for sale.

I would also like to hear of more places in the area that have lanterns. So if any of you know of more options please share the location.

Have a good one! Cheers Jando

ditto on the Anderson gardens in Rockford. Go in the spring. It is one of the most authentic tea gardens in the US from what I understand. They have a website. They also have a gift shop there.
