An interesting passage

| "The effect produced was of a natural landscape that had laid itself out in an unusually ordered manner, masses and colors balanced, but not so balanced or arranged that an observer immediately assumed the hand of man rather than nature."
Of all things, this is in a fantasy book called "Stealing the Elf King's Roses" by my favorite sf/fantasy author, Diane Duane. She's describing a garden/landscape in the land of the Elf King. Who knew they were JG fans?
Just a little light-hearted post to round out my evening.
Cheers all!

| Not at all, Susan! My 12 year old daughter "tends" (we gardenerparentsknowwhatthatmeans) our woodland fairey garden. However, she says she sees the fey ones playing most in the Japanese style garden, not in their own! Edzard, you have made a grassroots cultural observation; the tanuki are dwarves! Eureka! dp |
