Japanese Bath House Construction and Landscaping

| We are begining a project to build a Japanese style bathhouse and garden area at the back of our home. We have purchased a western style "Hot Tub" and want to enclose it in the bathhouse which will be a converted wood shop. We are also including a waterfall and pond of which my husband has built many. We have a mostly shady area to work with with vine maples, ceders and indigenous flora. We would appreciate any suggestions for planting and construction ideas. We are new to this website and are looking forward to helpful ideas and insights.
