Japanese maple source

Just wondering if anyone on this forum knows of a good source for Acer palmatum 'Glowing Embers'. Mountain Maples in CA lists it, but they're sold out, and I can't seem to find another online source. I've been reading about how heat tolerant this variety is, so I'm anxious to try it.Thanks. Tom...www.paradisegardentx.com

There is a wholesale place in Fort Worth called Metro Maples. They have good selection of JM and Azaleas. Open to public only on Sat. 8am-2pm. Website: metromaples.com

My local nursery, the Botany Shop (located in Joplin MO) had dozens of Glowing Embers in one-gallon size when I was there yesterday, I think the price was $15. I bought one from them in a quart-size last spring for $7 and it is coming along very nicely. I didn't see them listed on their website, but I'm sure if you emailed them they'd be happy to sell you one.

A lot of nurseries offer trees by mail-order. Among Japanese maple specialists, Mountain Maples in California is probably the best known.

Try Forestfarm, they are a very reputable mail order nursery that has dozens of Acer palmatum cultivars.
