I need a good pond pump - what kind do you like?

I have an old clunky-noisy self priming pump (what previous owners put in with the pond). Its very noisy they stuffed a pillow on top of it to insulate the noise and it still sounds bad.

I'm ready to get a good pump. I want an efficient, quiet pump that will work well, at a good price :z. I've read up on the Superfalls pump and the Pondmaster Pump
http://www.bestnest.com/bestnest/RTProduct.asp?SKU=PON-02777. I like the pondmaster because it has the leaf trap and the check valve as part of the package.

This is my first pump purchase and I really want to get it right. Any advice you can give me on this process would be greatly appreciated.

Hi
Above ground pumps make noise no mater what manufacture or sales people said. If use submerged pump, you can sleep better^^. yama

Yama,

Thank you for responding. I have a skimmer box but I'm not sure if I can fit a submersible in it. I'll check into it. Its good advice.
