Home and Garden show was okay- too much Home, not enough Garden for my tastes. Highlight of the week was Nitobe, as usual. You were right Herb, it's fabulous anytime of the year. Shows what good design and planning can do. It was quite different than being there in the summer but in some ways, it was better. The structure, pathways and rocks wern't all obscured by leaves and trees. Have you ever noticed on the front gate, the nails are all set equidistant apart and every nail is set to the same depth. What craftsmanship.

The Buddhist Temple was pretty amazing too, quite a few very nice Bonsai on display along with a very ornate garden and pond area. You cant take pictures in most areas but its quite breathtaking. Even for a non Buddhist, its a pretty spiritual place. Ive posted some recent pics on my webshots site if anyone wants to see them

Steve -

Glad you enjoyed Nitobe & the Buddhist temple - it's high time I paid another visit over there. When I do, I'll pay particular attention to the Nitobe front gate.

I enjoyed your pictures - and your Tea House has again set me thinking. Maybe if I tidy up the space under our deck I can give it a similar function - especially since we have a couple of chairs that look just the same as yours and that are certainly comfortable............
