You would have better luck posting to the Maples forum. However, it looks to me like your Bloodgood has leaf burn from too much sun. That's not unusual on newly planted Japanese maples, even for varieties like Bloodgood that can handle more sun. Make sure you are watering it enough and have it mulched. The leaves will look a little rough this year but should be fine next year when its roots are more established.
