Hi:

This is only marginally related to this forum (I will have more on-topic stuff as soon as I can post pictures of my garden).

On the opening page of the Japanese Gardens forum (this forum) is a picture of some irises. Could someone tell me what that picture is?

Not really sure what you mean? It looks like it might be a photo of an old painted screen - as there is a line down the middle. As you say - of irises beside a pool of some sort.

Well... a quick google search reveals that it is a famous screen painted by Ogata Korin.
