Japanese Gardens

Hi All, I'm new to the Japanese style. I'm wondering is there a way to mix Japanese in with an English looking house? Also the yards are mostly English style gardens.

The front yard hasn't been landscaped much yet. So it might have a better hope of a Japanese style landscaping.

Japanese gardens are mostly viewed from the inside of the house looking out, so it doesn't really matter what style house you have.
