A few months ago I was watching a pbs. program that had the host visiting a Japanese garden located, I believe, in New Jersey? New York? I came into the show too late to find out.

Anyway, the host pointed out a tree, not a bush, that in fall turns color and, what really stood out to me, he said that the foliage gives off a sweet scent people refer to as Cotton Candy. He said they have several in the park and people flock to it in the fall because the smell justs drifts and is so lovely.

Would anyone have any idea what tree he was speaking of? Would appreciate any ideas.

Thanks! Kim
