Lions Head Jap Maple?

| I looked at one at my local Box Store today, and I think I am kicking myself for not buying it. It is about 3 - 4 feet tall and was $70. Should I make a special trip to go back and get it? Can I keep it in a container or should it be in the ground? Also, the tag says morning light, dappled shade - how much sun can it tolerate?
LMK - I think it might be my Mothers Day present to myself!

| If other green-leaved Japanese maple cultivars do well in full sun there then this one will also. |

| saw one at my local nursery the other day, probably 5ft tall or so, and they wanted $229 for it. I'd get it if it was only $70. |
