Leaves on Japanese Maple all curled up

When we moved in here 4 years ago, we transplanted a Japanese Maple that was elsewhere on the property. It's been 4 years now & the leaves are still curled up. There are a few new shoots with normal leaves. Is this from shock? What can we do to help it along?

Rolled up margins characteristic of cultivar. Nothing to worry about. In fact, if significant portions appear with typical flat leaves, year-after-year those should be pruned out!

Thank you for letting me know this! I feel so much better about it. I was able to locate the name & some other images online. Looks like ours is doing pretty well. Thanks again for your help.
