I need help with JM cutting that rooted

I tried to propagate my JM and took cuttings from them
I did 16 out of all of them 8 weeks later 5 rooted.
i took them out of there green house put the rooted ones on my kitchen taple put some water in a dish and the pot on top the next day all the leaves shriveled up are they dead is there a chance i can save them should i remove the only two dead leaves will new ones grow back please help.
what should I have done?

| Sounds like they are shot. Maybe the roots got too wet. Try reading up on what you are trying to do before trying again. Books on maples specifically may have propagation hints you can use, as well as books on plant propagation. |

Hi..... Most of Japanese maple propergators do not attempt to grow J maples from cuttting. If you have sophicated propagation facility, then you will have some J maple cuttings develope roots but will take time. It is easier to start from seed and graft later than grow from cuttings. Mike Y |
