Birds destroyed Japanese Maple

Birds ripped the leaves off my Garnet Japanese Maple. I found the leaves scattered on the ground. Now the branches are ripped ragged. It was a small tree less than 18 inches tall. I planted it in the ground in the back yard a couple of weeks ago. before that I had it on the front porch in a pot for a couple of months where I think the sun scorched it because the leaves were curling and drying. That was a western exposure.
Now I transplanted it to a pot indoors. What else should I do?
Has anyone else had this problem with the birds? |
