For any of you near Richmond, Virginia, the Lewis Ginter Botanic Garden is offerring a lecture on Friday, September 10 from 10 am - 12 pm called "Landscape as Spirit". Following is a quote from their brochure:

Landscape architect Martin Mosko and writer Alxe will discuss the garden as a refuge for the spirit, and the elements of harmonious garden design that will provide a path of growth for your garden and your spirit. Martin Mosko studied painting and Sanskrit at Yale, and has apprenticed with Japanese master gardeners. He is a Zen monk. Alxe Noden was educated at Cornell and Boston University School of Law, and studied Tibetan Buddhism. She is an accomplished writer and photographer. $30 members/$33 non-members.
