How to build a japanese garden

I created a blog on my experience of building a Japanese Garden in my back yard.

I am thinking of improving it. Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thanks

Roy

I think this is great! You might want to try to think of a way to visually anchor the two bridges in the lawn. I think a continuation of the paths would achieve this. Good garden!

Thanks for sharing your garden photos. It must have been a lot of work. Did you do the carpentry yourself?

I think it's great, I wouldn't suggest any changes. There is a lot of content and great pics. Here is my article on Japanese garden with a focus on japanese gates. It's just a short one, hopefully you all think it's ok. :)

Here is a link that might be useful: Japanese metal gates

Your garden is beyond beautiful and looks so peaceful.... I am new to the site and came upon this thread as I am working on deciding which way to go with our new yard and I must say that by looking at yours you've given me some really good ideas...
