Hi All,
Click on this link to see my attempt at carving it is a Salix Matsudana that had died a few years ago and I dug it out of the ground and left it to dry out and I have stripped off the bark and carved the Kanji for WATER,ROCKS and STONES, it has a nice twisted trunk.I once read somewhere, but I cannot remember where, that you can leave a dead willow in your Japanese Garden but a dead pine must be removed.
