mulberry vine tree

Resulting from a recent trip to China, I came into posession of some seeds from a tree that has a trunk looking similar to that of a fused-gaping wisteria trunk. The general habit of the tree is broadly weeping with slightly contorted branches. I've not seen it elsewhere. Can anyone give me information about it? I hope it grows true to seed.

How about a few more clues. You referred to it as "mulberry vine tree"--is that a translation from the Chinese? What is the leaf shape? Are there flowers? Fruit/berries? What is the habitat/area of origin? We can probably figure it out with a little more info.

Sounds like contorted mulberry.
