Koi with a number 2 on its head

| I am new to koi keeping. I got a small koi a short while back, with a red blotch on her head, not perfectly round, but a pretty full blotch. Now it has suddenly turned into perfectly defined number 2. I know color changes are normal, but a total change of shape and into a number to boot - is that normal? Has anyone experienced this?
(I had named her Lola, but now I am thinking "Two"lulah...)
I am also very much wondering if numbers on koi have any significance or meanings in the Japanese culture. I am having no luck with google.
Can anyone help me out?

| I agree with kevin711. If true, that fish is a keeper ! Or a seller; because it will probably "outgrow" the amazing feature it presently has. Post a picture. LP |

| I'm sure you've probably gotten this feedback already, but Koi, especially small Koi, can change frequently until they've matured. Sometimes the changes are desired, sometimes not. Keep the water quality good and keep your fish on a healthy diet to produce the best outcome. |
