Should I be concerned..

I have 10 koi in our 2000 gal. pond. Which I have noticed a real small red spot on the koi. The koi is approximately 14-15 inches & I believe its called (shiro uturi) black & white. The spot appears on the white by the dosal fin.. Is there anything to worry about? Anybody have a response. THANKS...

How small is it? Less than the size of an eraser.

Can you see any red streaking in any of the fins? Is the spot just a pink spot or is it an open sore?

It is smaller than eraser size & no steaking at tail or fins. Been treating water with lymnzyme.

Are you sure that it isn't getting a small spot of red color.

Mike, it is half the size of a pencil eraser light red to a pink maybe. Burky

Burky, Keep an eye on it and if it starts to get larger than you may have an infection starting or it may not be anything at all. Are the fish flashing?

Mike, by flashing, do you mean turning on side & rubbing? If so yes at times I have noticed.
