Hariwake Udate- She's healed- large pics

Here she is. My Hariwake who has a tumor. She suffered major tissue loss from the top of her head to her dorsal fin this winter when she remained partly out of the water during frigid weather for days at a time. The wound progression was as follows from spring to now:

1. Slimy dorsal fin, slimy pink tissue.
2. A week of looking better-no slime, but this was most likey due to loss of slime coating.
3. Weeks of grey, black looking necrotic tissue
4. Red speckled granulation (healing) tissue.
5. Green algae over wound area- likely Sap Fungus
6. Algae covered scales dropped off one by one, revealing clean, healthy looking tissue.
7. Appears healed with slight popeye (as she has had for 2 years). Suspected tumor looks like enlarged abdomen.

Treatment for her was to keep the water as clean as humanly possible, and to provide optimal nutrition. Here's the pics. Also notice the side "lump" on the Aka Matsuba. He has had this since September. Just keeping an eye on it for now. Other Matsuba has no evident deformaties.

Wow!! That's just amazing and says something about your care. I can't even tell which koi it is that had the problem.

She looks wonderful, just shows what someone with a little love and a lot of work can do. Good luck with her.
