 o
water lily treatment that won't hurt koi

Hi,
I have aphids on my water lilies and want to get rid of them. I have heard that spraying the lilies with Pam will suffocate the aphids but has anyone had any experience with doing this in a koi pond. I don't want to harm my koi and I have a lot of fry in the water now that I don't want to kill accidentally. Should I just wait the aphids out until the end of the season or try to treat them?

Thanks!!

Can you move the water lilies to a seperate container and then treat and rinse well?

I would just spray the water lily everday and wash the aphids off into the water, maybe your fry will eat them.
If you spray any kind of oil on the water surface you risk sufficating the fish to, specially the fry.
