HI All,
I am considering getting out of the hobby unfortunately I do not have the time to care for or appreciate my koi lately. Do you think I can sell my setup ? The fish I would like to GIVEW to a good home, but I have a new this year pump, skippy filter, liner, bottom drain etc. Is there any kind of market for this? |

| I'm getting into the hobby. There seems to be a good demand on ebay for the supplies AND the fish if you price it right. |

| The liner is probably not reusable unless your pond was perfectly rectangular and the liner was not trimmed....otherwise it would be hard to get it to fit a new hole. But everything else? Yeah....there is definatly a market for it. Sell the pond as a package. Sorry you're getting out though. It really is a labor intensive and expensive hobby. |

| Better than eBay might be www.craigslist.org. It caters to local people in your own neighborhood so no shipping of heavy materials or fish, and you can have them come and dismantle the whole pond for you as well. As for the liner, I'd say yes it does still have value if it's in good condition. I've removed an odd shaped large liner and created several small ponds from it. I also use the scraps to line planters for my water gardens. It's definately worth something. Don't know if you'll make a fortune on any of it, but maybe at least enough for your next hobby. Good luck! |
