DIY bottom drain

I found this on a website on how to build a bottom drain.

RE: DIY bottom drain

I reinstalled one of my bottom drains this weekend. I followed Greg Bickal's instructions for creating bottom drains. It works out well. One thing I don't think you want is a drain that screws into the bottom. Pulling the drain from the PVC was tough enough I think that having to unscrew it would have been more difficult.
