I live downstairs in an apartment complex, right beside a ramp that goes to the apartment complex call box. My balcony is right beside this ramp (raised by a few feet), and unfortunately for me, the sliding door that leads to the balcony also leads to my bedroom.

I'd like to grow some kind of vine or shrub beside or on my balcony railing that can block the view of my bedroom, but I'm not sure what to get. My balcony only gets partial light, so I'm not sure what to do. I'm in Northern California, so it
