Wanting to do an experiment with magnesium or calcium peroxide

I've been reading up on these chemicals. Not only are they supposed to release oxygen slowly in the presence of moisture, but they aren't supposed to be harmful to non-pathogenic microorganisms (their use thus far has been to speed up soil microorganisms' ability to break down petro-carbons and other soil pollutants, i.e. "Bioremediation".)

Basically, I'm wanting to run a small experiment on what these chemicals can do for garden soil and what they can do for a compost pile.

Anyone know of any (fairly inexpensive,) sources for Mg2O2 and Ca2o2?

The (pdf) link below may be a seller. I am not sure however, it is not cached yet.

Here is a link that might be useful: product information (pdf)
