Cardbaord Box heater/we have Germination

| I started some seeds in a 20 row tray on Mar 8th
The tray is sitting on a cardboard box with a 60w light bulb under the box, in my greenhouse. Theres 3" of snow on the roof and on the ground
Low mar 8th 24F high 32F and snowing
low Mar 9th 27F high 32.3 and snowing
todays high 36.3
About 20 min ago I saw 2 pink Brandywines emerging from the soil

| Hey Byron: Be very careful the lightbulb cannot touch the cardboard or even get near it. It can start a fire. It is safer to use clear plastic so you can see the fixture at all times. Plastic will just melt and make a nasty smell, not a fire. Also, cardboard will reach an ignition point much faster if the heat doesn't have a way to escape.-Sandy |
