| If I were to dig down a foot or so and bury a pie tin below my tomatoe plants, Would it trap water? And do any good?

| How are you watering? Were I to try this I think I would bury a clay pot but I like the idea for an experiment. I would definitely suggest several with and several without the pie tin or whatever. If you only do one how do you know it whether it was affective or not? |

| Good point on the clay pot. Maybe I will look for a plastic ? at Big Lots or .99. I drip irrigate. I have good soil. The thought crossed my mind. I dont know if the water would go a foot down, or dissipate out. |
