I left some calendula babies (about one inch tall) out in the sun for a few hours and now they are all dead! What did i do wrong, are they to young for a trip outside. They are usto being under my T8, could that change have killed them? they have been outside many times before though, and they had plenty of water. Any help would be appreciated!

| Sounds like they weren't hardened off enough to acclimate them to bright direct sun for hours. Best to place them in semi-dappled shade for the first week of outdoor exposure. One year I burnt up a flat of tomato plants thinking that they were ready but I placed them outside the patio door where they got both the direct sun and the direct reflection of the sun from the big window. vgkg |
