Four to five pound beefsteaks, wow, how long is your growing season? I usually start my tomatoes between February and March and put them out after the last full moon in May a pretty reliable indicator in southern Alberta Canada (20 miles north of the Montana Border) of the last frost of the spring. I have not had a great deal of luck with Beefsteaks because I usually have to pick them green in early September. The best that I have ever done with that variety is two pounds (+ -) I finally quit trying to grow them and have found far more success with Early Girls you have my envy
