 o
It worked!

A while back my Roman Chamomile had some kind of gray, fuzzy Fungus. By the time I decided to do something about it, it was dead, (it also had Aphids) but then I noticed the stuff on my FAVORITE rose bush that was about to be replanted that same day. I thought, NO WAY am I gonna let it die. So I decided to concoct some kind of fungus killer. I mixed:
Baking Soda
Black Pepper
Salt
Dish soap
Vinegar
and some things I don't remember in a little bowl. The whole mixture came to about a tablespoon. Then I diluted it with about a cup and a half of water, and poured it over my little rose bush. The Fungus DISAPPEARED the NEXT DAY! How the heck did it work? I sure don't know.
Has anyone else tried something utterly ridiculous, only to find that it worked?

How much vinegar did you use? I use it as a weed killer, and I always assumed it was lethal to any plant it came in contact with.

The vinegar and the baking soda never made it to the plant (think about it -- or try mixing some), but I'll bet the salt and pepper made the foliage taste good, albeit a little soapy:-)

Baking soda is commonly reecommended for it's antifungal properties...but I wonder if you neutralized it with the vinegar? :>)
