Has anyone made a planter out of a water fountain? I have a large fountain with a sculpture of a small girl holding her hands down where the water comes up & we don't use it anymore as a fountain. I was wondering is there an easy way to transform it into a planter without destroying the pump in case we choose to use it again as a fountain. My husband doesn't want me to plant flowers in it because then we couldn't use it again for the birds. Any suggestions???

I just stumbled across this forum today. I don't know why I'd never noticed it before, but the title sounded interesting. I usually hang out at the Texas Gardening & Garden Junk forums this time of year. There was a post on Garden Junk where someone made something out of her bird bath. Probably not exactly what you want, but maybe it will give you an idea.
Here is a link that might be useful: From Garden Junk forum

Thanks for the link! That's exactly what I had in mind! Can't wait to show my hubby! Thanks again!!!!
